Dr. Politi has been Head of the Neurology Services at ALYN Hospital’s Children and Adolescent Rehabilitation Center since 2020. She is a principal investigator for ALYN PARC where her research is dedicated to neurophysiological monitoring of pediatric patients with varying brain injuries and pathologies using electroencephalography (EEG). She conducts clinical prospective studies on the influence of different medical treatments on electrophysiological measures utilizing EEG and electromyography (EMG). Dr. Politi also evaluates the applicability of different surgical neuromodulation treatments in patients with dyskinetic cerebral palsy, and rehabilitation of neuromuscular disorders in the era of new genetic therapies. She is currently investigating potential applications of machine learning-based techniques for EEG data analysis of seizures in children. As the former head of the Neonatal Neurology Clinic at the Schneider Children's Medical Center of Israel (SCMC), Dr. Politi is collaborating with Profs. Klinger and Soreq on a study funded by the Israel Science Foundation examining the interplay between cholinergic tone and cortisol in early versus late preterm infants.
Dr. Politi received her MD from Tel Aviv University’s Sackler School of Medicine before specializing in pediatrics and pediatric neurology at the Schneider Children's Medical Center.
