For many years ALYN Hospital has relied on the help of volunteers. They work in all the various departments within the Hospital performing a wide variety of tasks which often involve direct contact with the patients and their families and some work in the Maintenance and Administrative Departments.
Every year a number of Israeli B’not Sherut (18 year old girls doing their year of National Service) are accepted into ALYN Hospital to work on all levels.
During the past year ALYN’s Volunteering Program has been expanded to accept a larger number of short and long term volunteers from within Israel and more long term volunteers from abroad.
All ALYN volunteers – Israeli and foreign, who range in age from a minimum of 15 (insurance limitations) to retirees - become both a significant part of the Hospital’s rehabilitation team as well as very welcome members of the “ALYN Hospital Family”. The contribution of each and every volunteer in ALYN is highly valued and appreciated by us and both the giver and the recipient benefit from our professionally organized volunteer program.
“To give from the soul and the heart,
To give when you love,
How do you find the difference,
Between taking and receiving……”
From the song “To Give”, Boaz Sharabi.
