Every child has the right to discover and to fulfill his/her developmental potential and to maximise his/her abilities to function within society - regardless of religion, race, gender or medical condition.
The success of the rehabilitation process must be measured in terms of achieving a balance between health, optimal functioning and acceptance by the family and by society.
There is no child whose condition cannot be improved.
There is no family of a chronically ill child who does not need counselling and support.
No physician can work without the assistance of a multidisciplinary team who is prepared to work untiringly to advance a child's rehabilitation process.
Our society is judged by the way it cares for its weaker members. |
